This page will explain how teachers can create an inclusive classroom setting by using the VU Mixed Classroom Educational Model.
Students with different backgrounds, different cultures, and different academic backgrounds are more often part of the same education program. To make them interact freely with each other and to make sure that they are not afraid to express their perceptions/opinions is of importance as this can enhance learning. For this reason, the VU has designed the VU Mixed Classroom Educational Model. In the video below, Rosa Pols, junior lecturer at the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM), will explain how the VU Mixed Classroom Educational Model works and she gives practical teaching tips on how to incorporate this model into your own teaching.
