Postdoc platform

Creating a place of exchange and opportunity for postdocs

What’s our goal?
Our objective is to empower postdoctoral researchers by providing them with a platform for exchanging ideas, networking, and accessing information relevant to their careers. We also wish to represent the interests of postdocs within the Faculty of Science.

What do we do?
By organizing coffee breaks every two months, we provide an open platform for exchanging  experiences and research ideas for possible collaborations. In the future, we aim to  occasionally host guest lectures and workshops on topics that are of interest for many postdocs. Additionally, we hope to have plenty of opportunities to just come together and network with one another.

What are we working on:

Who are we?
We are currently six postdocs from different departments within the Faculty of Science, forming the core team of the platform. We are an open platform. You are more than welcome to join us.

How to reach us?
You can reach out to us via email: postdocs.beta@vu.nl or you can find us on Teams: BETA-ODZ-Postdocs Bèta | General | Microsoft Teams. Stay tuned and spread the word!

First aid for web editing
Within the faculty, most departments and institutes have staff who maintain their own web pages using the CMS Kentico. Need help with that? For questions, send an email to the web editors at communicatie.beta@vu.nl. Learn more about communication team Beta. from Bèta-zine No. 2 18 January 2024
