This research is part of the Co-Creation for Inclusive Knowledges Lab
When researching grass-roots dynamics of violence, we are at a point where conventional research methods are not enough to grasp hidden, complex and contradictory accounts of the past. This project proposes memory workshops as an alternative for the co-production of data and local knowledge using creative and participatory research methods. Focusing on rural communities in Colombia, this project employs creative tools such as memory web creation, collective drawing of timelines, and exploration of emotional biographies. These activities enable communities to reflect on both the lived and spoken dimensions of their experiences, revisiting the practices and emotions tied to wartime and the construction of peace.
