Early December, while opposition forces in Syria were advancing rapidly, students in the Anthropology course Nation & Migration received a guest lecture on Syria by representatives of Stichting Vluchteling and the White Helmets. In their lecture they spoke about the security situation in Syria, the limited aid reaching the country in light of the high humanitarian needs, and the impact on forced migration. Several Master students are also researching these themes this year in the Professional Anthropology Track.
