Standard postal deliveries

Every Tuesday and Friday between 13:30-14:30, incoming and outgoing mail will be distributed between the mailroom and the secretariats of the VU buildings.

All VU Amsterdam employees have the same postal address, so all university mail can be collected in one central location.

Outgoing mail is collected by PostNL every day. Regular mail items are processed by PostNL processed on Tuesdays and Fridays as 48/72-hour by default. Specifically, this means that sending mail via the regular route takes 48 or 72 hours. Mail collected from you on Tuesday will be delivered on Thursday or Friday delivered. Mail collected from you on Friday will be delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday.

One postal address for all VU employees

All employees have the same VU postal address: De Boelelaan 1105. For then proper and speedy handling and delivery of all items of mail, packages, and goods to all VU locations, please provide the following postal address:

[Your faculty/service department]
[Your department; good abbreviations will also suffice]
[Your name]

Private packages

Since 2019, you may no longer receive personal mail packages at your VU Amsterdam address. You are kindly requested to have your personal mail sent to your home address or local pickup point. If we receive an order that we suspect is of a personal nature, then the package will not be delivered to your workstation. You can pick up the package at FCO Logistics Centre (location Van der Boechorststraat 3 - Transitorium, coördinates: 52.334089, 4.863024).
