Everyday Dutch course on Saturday

Course levels (CEFR)
Each level starts four times a year. 

  • Module 1: Beginner (0 > A1)
  • Module 2: Elementary (A1 > A2)

Course dates 2026-2027

  • Period 1: 12 September - 31 October 2026 
  • Period 2: 21 November 2026 - 30 January 2027
  • Period 3: 27 February – 24 April 2027
  • Period 4: 22 May - 10 July 2027

Holidays (lesson free days)

  • Christmas Holidays: 19 December 2026 - 3 January 2027
  • Good Friday and Easter: 26 - 29 March 2027
  • Kingsday: 26 and 27 April 2027
  • Liberation Day: 5 May 2027
  • Ascension Day: 6 May 2027
  • Pentecost: 17 May 2027

Course length: 8 weeks per level

Time table: Saturday morning (9.30 - 12.30 hrs)

Assignments: approximately 8-10 hours per week    

Price per module*:
excluding course book or license (from € 39.95)

  • Standard/PhD: € 515
  • VU students: € 150
    The VU co-pays for these modules, making the price only € 150. This only applies to international VU students. You will need proof of registration to qualify for the discount.

EC points (extracurricular, only when faculty approves and only for students): 2 points per level (80% attendance is required as well as passing the final tests). These credits indicate the workload of the course and can only count as extracurricular credits.
