Language course Professional Dutch 1 and 2

Professional Dutch 1 and 2 are 16-week courses.

If you start with level 1, you can then take level 2. The content of the courses is aligned. The courses can also be taken separately.

Professional Dutch 1
In the evening course Professional Dutch 1 you learn in 16 weeks (1 evening per week) to read, write, speak and present on a professional and academic level (to CEFR-level B2+/C1). You also work on increasing your (general academic) vocabulary in Dutch.

Professional Dutch 2
The evening course Professional Dutch 2 is for participants who already master ERK-level C1 and who wish to further strengthen and expand their professional language skills. In 16 weeks (1 evening per week) the emphasis is on increasing vocabulary and strengthening professional writing skills. You also practice a lot with presenting in front of a group. Lesson themes include work, science, health, politics and social institutions. Within the themes we work on advanced language skills, for example by reading and discussing an article related to the theme. There is structural attention to language fluency, business idiom and proverbs and sayings.

Working method
You are assigned to a group of course participants at your own level (ECFR level B2/B2+ or C1). Prior to each evening lesson you will study part of the course material and prepare a number of assignments. During the lessons the teacher will give you instructions and explanations and you will discuss the assignments together. In addition, you will work on your own speaking, reading and writing skills. The teacher also offers you personal guidance during the course.

Final test and certificate
The courses are concluded with a final test. If you pass, you will receive a certificate.
