After the Academic Dutch Plus course, you will know how to write a good academic text in Dutch. You'll be more familiar with the structure and types of words and phrases you can best use.

During the course, as much attention as possible is paid to the customs within the field of your study.

Methodology
At the start of the course, you will take a diagnostic test. Then there will be three class meetings, during which you will learn what an academic text in Dutch must satisfy: form, style, structure, syntax and word choice. Your attendance at the diagnostic test and at the three meetings is mandatory.

Online modules
Depending on the test results, you will be offered three or four modules on general writing skills and specific language problems. For example, on academic vocabulary, academic expressions, typical academic style, sentence structure, the system of verbs, the use of nouns, articles and references, spelling and punctuation and on typical stumbling blocks such as the use of "there" and "it.

The modules are skills training sessions that you work through on your own. Each module ends with a final assignment. Based on this, the teacher will give you personal feedback.
