In the coming years, the challenges look set to increase: How do we deal with growing student numbers in the lecture hall? How can we adapt our teaching strategies and ensure that we can achieve growth without compromising the quality of our teaching? What can we do to reduce workloads and work more efficiently, allowing teachers and students to find a better balance? How can we strengthen cooperation between different disciplines to create synergies? How can we better connect to today's complex issues?
This programme is designed for programme directors, programme coordinators and lecturers who want to get started with the (re)design of their curriculum. By zooming out completely on the essential questions that should be at the basis of any curriculum (re)design and on the various factors that influence the curriculum, participants will gain a better understanding of their goals. In conversation with each other and with input and inspiration from educational and change models and sources, participants will learn where the major challenges lie within the current curriculum and what opportunities exist to address them. We reflect on the importance of support and consider the steps you can take to get people moving. So that, at the end of the programme, you as a participant know better what to do to bring your (re)design effectively and sustainably to the front.
The programme includes an intake interview, 4 half-day meetings at the VU and an individual feed forward session with the trainers at the end.
