Who can join?

The course is open to students at the Master’s level or students in a Bachelor’s Honours Programme. The course is also open to practitioners with a background in or at least basic knowledge of the circular economy, environmental sustainability, social sustainability, or how to create business, policy, and a society that is socially just and environmentally sustainable. The course will be taught at Master student level.

Students can have any educational background. However they should have a broad interest in environmental sustainability, social sustainability, and how to create an economy that is socially just and environmentally sustainable.

Applying and paying via our form
Applying to VU Amsterdam Summer School is as easy as clicking the blue 'Apply now' button at the top of any page of your chosen course and filling in our online application form and submitting your payment.
Before we can finalise your application, payment must be made. After you complete the application form you will be taken to a secure payment page. We accept most major credit cards.
Required documents

In the application form you will be asked to provide the following two documents (no larger than 1 MB per document):
- Curriculum Vitae/Résumé (mostly important for us to understand your educational background)
- Transcript of records (a print screen of your most recent grades is sufficient and needs to include your name and the name of your university)
These documents will be shared with the professors before the start of the course.

Application deadlines

The standard application deadline is 01 May 2025 (23:59 CET)
To benefit from a €50 'early bird' discount, please submit your form before 14 March 2025 (23:59 CET). This discount will automatically be deducted from your total when completing the application form.
