Alumni Benefits
As a graduate of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, you are eligible for a discount on courses and executive programmes offered by VU for Professionals (please note: this excludes the part-time Accountancy programme).
The discount depends on the tuition fees you have previously paid:
- Graduated from VU with a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD? You’ll receive a 10% discount.
- Previously attended a course or executive programme at VU for Professionals? Then the following discount tiers apply:
- 10% discount for previous payments of €8,000 or more
- 5% discount for payments between €3,000 and €8,000
- 3% discount for payments under €3,000
*The above discount tiers do not apply to the programmes of the VU Law Academy. Alumni discounts for the programmes of the VU Law Academy can be found here (in Dutch only).
*Some programmes, such as the part-time Accountancy programme, are excluded from alumni discounts. Always check the webpage of the relevant programme to see whether an alumni discount applies. Discounts cannot be combined with other promotions or offers.
Registering and Receiving Your Discount
When registering via the website, you can indicate whether you have previously completed a programme at VU. Please also mention the year and the name of the programme. Our programme coordinator will verify the details, apply the correct discount, and ensure it is clearly reflected on your invoice.
