Today’s discoveries, tomorrow’s medicines

Are you interested in the modern approaches in drug discovery to develop future therapeutic medicines? In the Pharmaceutical Sciences minor you can explore new developments in drug discovery and learn more about how innovative ideas lead to experiments and eventually to new molecules that can help in targeting diseases.

The broadening variant of the minor is open to BSc students (University and HBO) a chemistry and life sciences background. It will allow you to get started in exploring drug targets and the fundaments of drug discovery.

The deepening variant of the minor is open to students from the BSc Farmaceutische Wetenschappen and deals with novel technologies and molecules to target disease.

Part of the minor entails you becoming a team member in a drug discovery simulation, challenging you to take the first steps in the development of a new therapeutics while making decisions based on actual data from the industry.
