The land, oceans and atmosphere form a coupled system that interact to give a certain climate and type of weather. This course focuses on the interactions between the atmosphere and the oceans.
Big changes in the biosphere, climate and environment are driven by the interaction of biological and geological processes. This course explores these interactions and also allows you to brush up your academic skills by diving into your own biogeosciences research project.
In period 1 you choose one of the following electives: Geobotany or Isotope Geochemistry.
In period 2 you choose one of the following electives: Sediment Dynamics, Planetary Science or Sociale Geografie I.
In period 3 you choose one of the following electives: Earth and Life Through Time or Land Use Change.
