This minor is intended for students who already had exposure to programming at the level of a third year computer science student and is accessible to third-year Computer Science bachelor students of VU Amsterdam. This means deep programming minor students should be familiar with C and C++ as well as knowledge on computer systems and network protocols.
Artificial Intelligence students that are interested in Computer Science and picked up the aforementioned knowledge on their own can follow the minor after obtaining permission from the examination board. The minor is available to students who study Computer Science at another university than VU Amsterdam. Examples are:
- Computer Science at Maastricht University
- Computing Science at Radboud University or Groningen University
- Informatica at University of Amsterdam, Leiden University or Utrecht University
- Technical Computer Science at University of Twente
- Computer Science and Engineering at TU Delft or TU Eindhoven.
