Attention: International exchange students should be selected and proposed by the international offices of the partner universities.

If you need more information on the minor, for example on its content, learning outcomes and assessment methods, please visit our Faculty of Medicine VU website and select the minor of your choice.

Admission and registration

  • International students

    Are you an Exchange student or Semester in Amsterdam student? The International Office is responsible for course approval and registration.

    Specific requirements
    You must have completed at least 90 EC in a relevant program like for example biomedical sciences, psychobiology, technical medicine or biopharmaceutical sciences. In addition, it is essential that you have a good command of the English language. Please mind that some tracks are only open to medical students, and acceptance also depends on the availability of sufficient spots.

    For acceptance and registration into a minor, please contact either the Incoming Exchange Team or Semester in Amsterdam Team for details:

    Global Health Indonesia, Challenges in Women's & Child Healthcare, Clinical & Scientific Internal Medicine and Comprehensive Care, and Anatomy are only open to medical students of the Faculty of Medicine VU. Please mind that in the last three minors some parts (e.g. patient presentations) will be taught in Dutch. 

  • VU Bachelor students

    Admission

    Global Health Indonesia, Challenges in Women's & Child Healthcare, Clinical & Scientific Internal Medicine and Comprehensive Care, and Anatomy are only open to medical students of the Faculty of Medicine VU. Please mind that in the last three minors some parts (e.g. patient presentations) will be taught in Dutch. 

    The international minor Faculty of Medicine VU is accesible to:

    • Bachelor medical , third year students. You must have completed the first bachelor year and acquire at least 30 ECTS in the second year (= at least 90 ECTS), where 18 ECTS is acquired in the first semester of the second year. Interested? Send a email to Bachelor.info.vu@amsterdamumc.nl before 31 March. For more information check Canvas.
    • Bachelor Biomedical Sciences, third year students in Health and Life Sciences (major clinical sciences or major biomedical sciences), Medical Natural Sciences and the beta track Amsterdam University College. Completed the first bachelor year and acquire at least 30 ECTS in the second year (= at least 90 ECTS). In addition, it is vital that you know the English language (at least on VWO level)
