When your study meets AI
This minor is suitable for students from a wide range of study programmes (excluding Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science).
This university minor is open to (almost) all VU students, regardless of their academic background. No prior experience in programming or mathematics is required, making it ideal for those who want to learn more about Artificial Intelligence.
VU students in the BSc programme Artificial Intelligence are excluded from participating in this university minor. They can opt for Minor Situated AI.
VU students in the BSc programme Computer Science are excluded from participating in the university minor due to the overlap in their course curriculum.
Completing this minor does not give direct access to the master programme AI at VU Amsterdam. To start the master programme you need to fulfill the required criteria.
Minor Basics of AI is a university minor which means that you do not need permission from your examination board.
Check the registration procedure for minors.
Please register for all minor courses timely in the VU registration module.
Students can only sign up for the courses if they have registered for the minor Basics of AI in the VU registration module.
