Thank you for signing up for the Student for a Day of Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) at the John Stuart Mill College (VU Amsterdam).
On this day, you’ll get the chance to experience what it’s really like to study PPE, accompanied by one of our current students.
We look forward to seeing you on Monday, 9 March 2026, at 8:45 AM at the white registration desk opposing the entrance of VU Main Building, located at De Boelelaan 1105 (https://vu.nl/en/about-vu/more-about/route-description).
There, you’ll meet your student guide, and together you will attend one or two lectures on the 4th floor, in our own John Stuart Mill College:
- 9:00 – 10:45: Foundations of Macroeconomics, taught by door dr. Lia van Wesenbeeck. The course gives students an understanding of how macroeconomic thought has developed over time.
- 11.00 – 12.45 uur: History of Philosophy taught by Dr. Lilith Lee. This course is a survey of the history of philosophy, exposing a number of key concepts and thinkers that have contributed significantly to our global understanding of philosophy
