Solve current issues using innovative technology

So you’ve graduated from Mechanical Engineering—now what?

Most Bachelor’s graduates choose to continue their studies, but you can also dive straight into the industry.

On completing this programme, you have all the tools you need as a mechanical engineer of the future. You learn analytical skills and technical knowledge, but also the creativity required to make an impact on society. You can conduct a comprehensive analysis, compile and calculate a package of requirements, and produce a final product—everything you need to get to the bottom of a technological problem and come up with an inventive solution.

What can you do after your Bachelor’s degree?

Further your education

Want to continue studying after your Bachelor’s? You can choose from a range of continuing Master’s programmes. At VU Amsterdam, you can move on to the Master’s in Biomedical Technology and Physics. In this programme, which revolves around medical physics, biophysics and clinical technology, you work on biomedical engineering solutions to healthcare issues. Another great option is the Master’s in Science Business and Innovation, in which you learn to integrate the scientific and business sides of innovations.

Are you fascinated by human movement? And would you like to learn, for example, how to break a speed record at an altitude of 1400 metres? Then choose the master Human Movement Sciences or the Research variant.

You can also opt for a Master’s at the University of Twente. To further specialise in mechanical engineering, you can choose the Master’s in Mechanical Engineering. If sustainability piques your interest, the Master’s in Sustainable Energy Technology might be right for you.
