CIS is committed to change and social justice. Relevant policy oriented research is not automatically reaching policy officers and decision makers of ministries, international organisations or corporations at the right moment in time to support well informed policy decisions.
It is often helpful to ‘package’ research reports and make these easier accessible to politicians and decision makers as well as the general public, either on print or online. The core job of academics is to do high quality research and publish their findings and conclusions in journals and reports. CIS can help filling the gap between research outcomes and ‘consumers’ of research through various means, e.g. social media, policy briefs, e-repositories, research seminars and conferences in order to achieve better, and more evidence-based, development policies and practices.
