Value(s) of AI and big data

Innovation for a hopeful future

Teaching and AI

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the way we teach and learn. As a teacher, how can you anticipate the increasing use of AI by students? And how can you use these tools responsibly yourself? The VU Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is here to help you address these questions. In addition to providing information about tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, CTL offers (teaching) tips for using AI effectively, as well as scans to help you assess your knowledge of AI in education.

Learning and studying with AI

At VU Amsterdam, we believe it’s essential for students to use AI responsibly. This means learning how to use AI productively and accurately, as well as understanding the importance of taking a critical attitude towards AI tools. To support you in this, we’ve compiled the most important information here. We explain how generative AI can be used to improve your writing and research, and outline our policies on fraud prevention and data protection.
