Gender X working group works on including X as gender in VU systems, because gender can also be non-binary.
Founded in 2023 the work group Gender X (lovingly called Project X) consists of people of diverse genders, working in different VU departments.
The work group advises on:
- adjustments to computer systems that register genders (e.g. forms)
- the addition of X as an option, and whether or not to make this a mandatory input field
- gender indication in the light of privacy and other legal aspects
- inclusive language
VU colleagues are in the working group on behalf of the following VU organisations: Student and Education Affairs, HRMAM, ICT, Legal Affairs, Diversity Office and VU Pride.
