Zero waste by 2030? It may sound unattainable, yet VU intends to recycle or - better yet - avoid all waste on campus by 2030. FCO and our waste manager PreZero will help us achieve this.
In 2025, VU's Green Ambassadors will join in to support this effort with the VU Waste Project, reaching out to the VU community about the importance of reducing and separating waste. The Green Ambassadors is an initiative of VU's Sustainability Office.
The Waste project kicked off with a brainstorming session in February. The Center for Teaching and Learning facilitated this event. In spring, several teams each worked on their own waste reduction project. The finished projects were presented in June.
