VU meeting centers

VU Amsterdam has a number of central meeting rooms. These are representative meeting locations used primarily by VU employees. In addition, the rooms are used for VU for Professionals, external meetings or events.

Equipment and facilities

The rooms have foyers or seating areas, often with coffee/tea facilities. These facilities are exclusively for visitors to the meeting centre. The rooms are freely accessible during opening hours.

The rooms have a fixed meeting set-up and are equipped with a large presentation screen. Use of your own laptop is the starting point. Connection cables are available on site (HDMI, USB-C), as well as instructions for use. Depending on the room, additional ways of meeting are possible. The AVC Support page lists the AV resources for each room. The rooms are further equipped with a coat rack and flipchart or whiteboard.

Booking and costs

You can easily reserve the meeting rooms via the reservation form on the Serviceportal (login via VUnet) or via FCO Front Office. There is no direct charge for the use of the rooms by VU employees for meeting purposes. However, any costs for banqueting or additional services will be charged. You request this directly via the reservation form. Catering is from 10 people upwards.

The use of the rooms for VU for Professionals, events or external meetings does incur a charge. This is done afterwards, based on the reserved hours. The rental of rooms is subject to the VU Rental Conditions and Requisition criteria for renting and using space at VU Amsterdam.
