The rooms are well heated and equipped with an easy chair, a fridge and hot/cold running water. It is not necessary to reserve the lactation room. The rooms can be shared with other mothers. Don't you want this? Then the door can be closed. If the room is locked, you can move to another lactation room. The refrigerator is intended for storing breast milk. Please bring your own bottles.
You can access the lactation rooms via the Service Portal (see info under “Access to lactation rooms”). Some lactation rooms can be reserved via Outlook. The others are freely accessible. The open-access lactation rooms offer the opportunity to pump together with other mothers. If you prefer not to do this, lock the door by pressing the green/black button just below the door handle. You can open the door again by pressing the handle down. If the room is locked, you can go to another lactation room. In the NU building, there are several cubicles with curtains and the door cannot be locked
By default, access is provided for a period of 1 year.

Once you have been granted access to the lactation rooms, you can reserve a specific room. This can be done (with the exception of rooms that are open to all) via your Outlook calendar. This manual explains how to do this. Only book the lactation room for the time you really need it, so that other mothers can also use the lactation room.
Use of the lactation room
- Please leave the room tidy.
- The room is not intended as a place to work or study.
- The refrigerator is only intended for storing breast milk.
