• Support for various grants 

  Support is available for both fundamental research and impact-oriented grants. Examples of fundamental research grants include the ERC Frontier Grants, Horizon Europe and NWO Open Competition. Examples of impact-oriented grants include the NWO Take-Off, NWO Demonstrator, ERC Proof-of-Concept and EIC.  

  Make sure to visit the Research and Impact Support Portal (RISP) to learn all the steps you need to take to conduct your research.

• Access to annotated templates

  VU IXA-GO has developed annotated templates for the most popular research funding programmes targeted by VU researchers: NWO Veni, Horizon Europe – Global Challenges and Industrial Leadership (pillar 2), ERC, MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships. You can find these on the Funding and Valorisation Platform or on our training community Teams site.

• Feedback on proposals

  Would you like a second pair of eyes to make sure your proposal checks all the boxes? Contact us to schedule a review with a grant advisor.

• Support in consortium building

  Are you targeting a collaborative opportunity where you need to apply for funding as a consortium? IXA-GO’s programme managers can help you identify societal and industry partners and introduce you to potential partners in our network. For more information

• Help in drafting a budget (Project Control)

  An accurate cost estimation is important for financing your project. The Project Control department will help you draft your budget based on funders’ rules, and monitor it. Contact your Faculty’s project control team in the early stages of preparing your grant proposal.

• Practicing interviews for grant evaluation

  Are you invited to an interview as part of a grant evaluation process? We are happy to join a mock interview you are organizing as a “committee member” and give you feedback on your presentation. In addition, depending on the funding programme, we can arrange coaching with an external trainer.
