The Breakthrough Technology Innovation research group falls under DTI (Deep Tech Innovation).
Breakthrough technologies for sustainable innovation cause radical changes such as performance improvements and new capabilities. Organisations need to develop or adapt to these technologies. The DT&DI chair investigates this process through R&D and demonstration projects, leading to scale-up at local or global level.
Chair Bart Bossink focuses on R&D and demonstration projects linking technological innovations to markets and societal developments. Sandra Hasanefendic investigates policy and management for the adoption of these technologies. Both study the interaction between technological development and social factors.
