Collaborate with us

3D is the center for Dialogue, Diversity and Debate at VU. 3D programmes are aimed towards the whole VU community: students, employees, PhDs, internationals and professors. We organise some programmes in collaboration with partners. If you are interested in this, please read the conditions below and contact us via 3d@vu.nl.

Conditions for partner programmes in 3D

  • 3D is not an event location that can be rented by a faculty, network or association.
  • We collaborate with other parties when this is an undeniable contribution to our mission.
Programmes organised in 3D must interface with the focus of 3D: dialogue, debate, diversity and inclusion. The 3D coordinator determines whether a project or programme actually fits within 3D. Organisers may also request advice from the Diversity Office.
  • Programmes in 3D must conform to the 3D Code of Ethics.
  • Programmes in 3D must be accessible to the entire VU community.
The only exception to this applies to specific target groups for whom it is important to come together with their own group. This is always done in consultation with the 3D coordinator.
  • The promotion of your programme must be aimed at reaching the entire VU community.
Responsibility for promoting an event lies with the initiating organiser. 3D supports the promotion, provided it is delivered in accordance with the 3D guidelines.
  • 3D is not a political-social stage and a programme in 3D therefore will not convey an unambiguous political message. In case of doubt, the coordinator determines whether a programme can take place.
  • 3D is not suitable for programmes on topics that are so precarious that safety on campus may be compromised.
Examples may be: a debate about a current political conflict, a speaker who is persecuted or hated, a discussion with parties between which violence has taken place before.
