House rules 3D

Welcome in 3D! These are our friendly house rules. Please make sure your guests / visitors abide by these rules.

Noise disturbance

Above 3D is a workspace. So keep in mind that we have neighbors upstairs who can be bothered by your noise.

Safety

Don't leave your own stuff in 3D, and don't take stuff from the room that doesn't belong to you.
Be alert to the presence of unauthorized persons. So feel free to talk to someone you don't know, pay close attention to your own belongings and store them if necessary. VU is not liable for theft of 3D property.
In the event of a fire, make sure you and anyone else in the house get out as soon as possible and report it to security. There is a fire extinguisher in the room. And you know: people first, then stuff. So leave your coats and bags and make your way out.
A maximum of sixty people may come together in 3D. Do not exceed this number, then we will keep the fire service as a friend and your programme can continue as usual.

No smoking

You probably already understood it, but just like in all other VU buildings, smoking and vaping in 3D is not allowed. Illegal substances are not allowed in the studio. Non-compliance can lead to the loss of access to the room.

Emergency exit

The emergency door is the glass patio doors at the front of the room. Do not put any items or furniture in front of this and open the doors only in case of emergency. Do not open these doors in the summer and if they are accidentally open, make sure they are closed.

Furniture and plants

3D is equipped with its own furniture. If tables or chairs are borrowed from another room, please return them after use.
You can move the furniture in 3D space, but only the beanbags and the scaffolding wooden furniture on wheels are allowed outside.
There are plants in 3D, they get a sip of water every week. You can bring your own plant or cutting and leave it in 3D. We will also take care of your plants.

Pets

Although plants are welcome, pets are prohibited. Of course assistance dogs are welcome.

Catering

You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks to 3D. But don't leave food in the fridge and take all your brought food and drinks with you again. Otherwise we will suffer from mice and, as you know, pets are not allowed.
There is coffee and tea available in 3D. So 'Help yourself'! But make sure you turn the coffee maker off again.

Waste and cleaning

Keeping the pantry and refrigerators clean is not part of the standard cleaning programme. So lend a hand and keep our kitchen neat and clean. Wash the items you use and put them back in the cupboards. Or load the dishwasher and turn it on. Unload the dishwasher when it is full of clean dishes. We are jointly responsible for the use of the space.
3D is not closet space. You cannot (temporarily) store your stuff here. Items left unattended are cleaned up.

Toilets

Unfortunately there are no toilets in 3D. For that you have to enter the W&N building. Please note that the connecting door closes and you cannot return without an access key.

3D room and equipment

We expect you to respect the room and property of 3D.
We have a “You break it, you let us know” policy. Any damages to the room or the equipment in the 3D room caused by misuse, negligence and carelessness will be reported, as well as theft or willful destruction of 3D property.
