Search systems and reference tools

Do you want to use the University Library's digital collection from home, abroad or elsewhere? You can! At the University Library you will find handy tools to help you search for literature, manage your sources and access the digital collections. Use the search and reference tools to make your search for the right sources easy.

LibSearch & Lean Library
Use LibSearch to search the library's entire digital collection. You will find not only papers, but also e-books, files and journals. You can also use LibSearch to search collections outside the VU. You can also use the tool to display VU LibSearch links directly in PudMed and Google Scholar. Use the Lean Library tool to do so.

EndNote
The software tool EndNote helps you organise and manage your literature references. Thanks to the tool, all your citations and references are properly formatted in no time.

University Library archives
If you are involved in research in the social sciences, you can visit the University Library's archives. Here you will find academic and Protestant heritage, maps and old prints, among other things. These can be used for (historical) research. Contact the curators for more information on how to use the archives.
