At the University Library you will find handy tools to help you search for literature, manage your sources and access the digital collections. Use the search and reference tools to make your search for the right sources easy.
LibSearch
Use LibSearch to search the library's entire digital collection. You will find not only articles, but also e-books, journals, databases, and other professional literature. In addition, LibSearch also allows you to search the collections of other libraries worldwide. LibSearch offers handy filters to limit or expand your search results as desired.
Lean Library
Install the Lean Library tool when searching or accessing literature outside LibSearch. You can also use this tool to show VU LibSearch links directly in PudMed and Google Scholar.
Referencing software
The software tools EndNote, Mendeley and Zotero help you organise and manage your literature references. Thanks to the tools, all your citations and references are properly formatted in no time.
University Library archives
If you are involved in research in the social sciences, you can visit the University Library's archives. Here you will find academic and Protestant heritage, maps and old prints, among other things. These can be used for (historical) research. Contact the curators for more information on how to use the archives.
