Teams
The PPP department consists of three teams:
- Planning
- Process direction
- Projects
Planning
The Planning team is responsible for educational and examination planning for (almost) the entire VU: from chain planning to timetabling, from draft timetables to processing timetable changes. More information on the process of education planning and timetables can be found here.
Process Direction
Team Process Direction deals with managing and continuously improving the logistics and education support processes. All processes of the student life cycle fall within its scope, from registration to graduation. Process management contributes to stable processes: can students easily find and arrange their affairs around the study? Are teachers well-informed about the tools available for preparing and delivering their education? By continuously improving the processes, they match the needs of students and lecturers as much as possible. Each process cluster has a process manager, a process director and an expert group, working closely with colleagues from the faculties and services.
The education logistics chain has the following clusters:
- Enrolment & Admissions
- Student Finance
- Educational planning (including study guide and academic structure)
- Education tracking (enrolment and result registration)
- Student guidance (including facilities)
- International Services
- Graduation and Diploma
The education implementation support chain has the following clusters:
- Teaching and Learning
- Support for testing
- Support Quality Assurance
Overarching these are the following clusters:
- Teaching and Learning Data
- Collaborating institutions (including UvA and UT)
Projects
The project managers within this team direct operational and tactical projects aimed at innovation in teaching and educational support. With an internal pool of project managers, continuity in managing projects is better guaranteed and existing knowledge of processes, systems and the organisation is put to good use.
Toetsloket
The Toetsloket is an integral team of SOZ, FCO and IT. Teachers, employees of education offices or colleagues from the support services can contact the Examination Desk with any questions about organising and preparing for exams. The desk is part of the Central Testing Organisation (CTO) and consists of a coordinator and 2 employees.
