In the installation Solaris Nicky Assmann explores the physical phenomenon of light and colors through a spatial intervention that challenges the viewers’ perceptions.
The installation consists of multiple soap films creating colors’ choreographies through the combination of a precise lighting, gravity, and the inner movement of the soap film. Solaris is embedded in a context of visual music, expanded cinema, and what Assmann calls hypercolours, which are characteristic for her work.
