Last updated on 25 February 2026
Read all about the low-stimulus room/facilities room here: (de)registration, location, and rules.

What is de facilities room?
The facilities room is a low-stimulus room* for students with a granted facility can take exams in a quiet environment together with up to 14 other students.

*Please note: The room is low-stimulus, but not completely stimulus-free.

Who has access to the facilities room?
The facilities room is accessible for all students of all faculties (with the exception of ACTA) who have been granted one of the following facilities:

  • Low-stimulus room during exams: You will take all your exams in the facilities room.
  • Digital exam: You take written exams digitally in the facilities room. In case the regular exam already is digital, you will take the exam in the regular exam hall. The location can be found in your timetable.

How do I register for the facilities room?
Is it mandatory to register and deregister.

  • Step 1: Request the necessary facilities from your Academic Advisor
  • Step 2: Register for the course and the examination via the registration module.
  • Step 3: Register for the facilities room via the facilities room registration and deregistration form. Do not forget to register for each individual midterm or exam. You can register for multiple examinations at the same time using the form.

Registration deadlines
There must be at least 14 full days between the registration date and the examination. Example: For an examination on 27 October, you can register until 23:59 on 12 October.

Please note: If you register too late, there will be no examination waiting for you in the facilities room. You will then be referred to the regular examination location. It is possible that there will be no place for you there. In that case, you will have to wait for the next examination opportunity.

How do I deregister for the facilities room?
Are you unable to take the examination? Then deregister using the facilities room registration and deregistration form. This is important because a lot of arrangements are made to facilitate the examination, including your facilities. By deregistering on time, you help us to organise education in a more sustainable way.

Confirmation:

  • You will receive a confirmation of your registration no later than 5 working days before the exam (except for students of the Faculty of Science - see below). Did you not receive this? Please contact the Educational Office and state your Ticket Registration number.
  • Students of the Faculty of Science do not receive confirmation of their application. If the application is made 10 working days before the exam date, it will be processed.
