The Lost Key of Hope

Interactive session with economist-theologian Jan Jorrit Hasselaar and corporate anthropologist Alfons van Marrewijk

How can hope foster meaningful changes in our relationship with nature and each other? Can hope truly offer an alternative to the classic optimism or pessimism with which we view the future, and if so, how?

Economist-theologian Jan Jorrit Hasselaar and corporate anthropologist Alfons van Marrewijk invite you on an exploratory journey where they advocate for hope as the ‘third way’. Instead of believing that everything will naturally work out (optimism) or fearing the worst (pessimism), they see hope as the trust in our collective power to improve the world.

Expect no simple answers, but a hopeful perspective that invites reflection, dialogue, and concrete action.

This interactive session offers a fresh outlook on how we can be driven by hope to embrace positivity and face the challenges of the future with an open mind.
