Status of domain dashboards

The domain dashboards of finance and HRM are already available in the SAP Analytics Cloud Catalog.

The domain dashboards of finance and HRM are already available in the SAP Analytics Cloud Catalog. Some more indicators will be added in the future. The other domain dashboards are under development or in the start-up phase. Currently the focus is on the domain dashboards for research and education, the domain dashboard for impact and valorization will be launched soon.

The BI team is currently developing the first indicators for the education domain dashboard. These indicators are focused on size, for example number of EOI intake (EOI: First Year Institution (students enrolled in a specific program for the first time), number of principal enrollments and percentage of international students. In addition, the Education Domain Dashboard working group is working on the design of indicator tabs focused on financial targets. Examples of these indicators include graduation rate, percentage of OCW-funded enrollments and student/staff ratio.

For the research domain dashboard, the BI team is currently working on three key components. The data for this domain dashboard comes from various source systems. Work is currently underway to unlock data from Hora Finita and Pure so that relevant indicators from these source systems can be added to the domain dashboard research. In addition, a mock-up is being developed for data coming from the financial systems, such as SAP and Mendix. Finally, the team is preparing queries for new indicators and refining existing queries to optimize usability.

Information Center
The five domain dashboards of finance, HRM, education, research and impact and valorization form the basis for the information center. The development of the domain dashboards is proceeding in parallel with the development of the information center. New indicators will be added incrementally to the information center after they are integrated into the corresponding domain dashboard.

The information center, with indicators from the domain dashboards for finance and HRM, is expected to be available in early December. The domain dashboard for finance is already linked to the information center. Work is currently underway to link the HRM domain dashboard to the information center. Once this linkage is complete and the testing phase is successfully completed, the information center can be put into operation.

Future
The domain dashboards currently contain too few strategic indicators. With the advent of the new Institutional Plan (IP), more indicators will be added in the future that are consistent with our strategy. In addition, discussions are currently taking place with various departments to ensure that the indicators relevant to them that are still missing are included. This will allow the dashboards and the information center to continue to grow with our priorities and information needs.
