sor (Amsterdam, 1996) is one of the Netherlands' biggest musical promises. sor can compose, produce, conduct and act in addition to rapping and singing. He is part of the creative hip-hop collective Black Acid.
A signed artist with music label Noah's Ark (Universal) and publishing BMG, sor is not only responsible for vocals, but also for much of his productions. In 2018, he experienced hearing loss, which forced him to work even more creatively. Currently, sor is looking ahead positively and making music through the use of his piano, synthesisers and his Phonak hearing aid. Meanwhile, he appears on several works as a producer or featuring artist and has released three projects in collaboration with Noah's Ark.
After two successful EPs ('Phonak' and 'Professor'), sor recently released his project Bae Doven in 3 parts. His album has seen him bring the worlds of classical music and hip-hop closer together and clash. He has also made a short music film about his project Bae Doven in collaboration with Bear Damen and is being shown through the Dutch Film Festival.
sor has also sold out the concert hall with his own sorkest consisting of 58 orchestra members. In early 2022, he won the TV programme 'Maestro'.
