He previously served as a member of the university’s Executive Board and was a professor of corporate communication at Copenhagen Business School. Before that, he was a professor and vice-dean at Singapore Management University. Beyond academia, Gregor has held key roles in the communications industry, including managing partner at Publicis—one of the world’s largest advertising agencies—and president of the global professional association for the communications sector. Since 2024, he has also served on the Supervisory Board of the Open University. Gregor holds a PhD in Communication Science and has studied Romance Languages and Literature as well as Political Science. A lover of the arts, Gregor is an admirer of Virginia Woolf, Piet Mondrian, V.S. Naipaul, Michelle Yeoh, Walter Spies, Andy Lau, Hilma af Klint, and Gerrit Rietveld.
