Decline does not begin only after retirement, but much earlier: from the age of 20, we imperceptibly lose physical functions. This process occurs gradually and remains invisible for a long time, until moving becomes less natural. Not because the motivation disappears, but because the body can no longer do it.
An important insight from research is that it is not strength, but rather speed and responsiveness ('power') that determine how well we function. It is precisely this combination that first declines, while it often receives little attention in training and daily life. At the same time, people adapt their behavior: they start doing less, instead of continuing to train their bodies in a focused way to maintain this 'power'.
In this session, Mohamed El Hadouchi provides insight into how aging really works. Using recognizable life stages, you will discover how patterns develop and where loss occurs. With a short exercise you will experience directly what 'power' means. Not the inevitable decline is central, but the space to exercise influence. What can you still do and what does that require of your behavior and training?
