During her master’s, Fatima gained practical experience through internships at a health insurer and at Amsterdam UMC. “It was eye-opening to see how analysis connects directly to policy and financing decisions,” she says. What she valued most were the programme’s analytical assignments, which mirrored real-world cases. “They were excellent training for structured problem-solving and showed me how to translate theory into concrete recommendations.”
Now, as a researcher, she still benefits from that foundation. “The motivated lecturers and the strong link between theory and practice gave me skills I use every day. They allow me to contribute to the debate on how we can make healthcare more sustainable and equitable.”
