Eva van Manen & Rory Ronde

Eva van Manen is an artist, songwriter, poet and music producer who moves between different disciplines and worlds.

On her debut album 'Politiek & Liefde' (2018), she bridges styles such as rap, electronica and guitar pop with fluid, personal perspectives, exploring where politics and love intersect. In it, her wide range of musical interests - from hip-hop, soul, indie and jazz - can be heard.

On her second album 'De Diepte in' (2021), Eva delved into the depths of her emotional world and seeks a flowing sensitivity, for which she collaborated with various pop and jazz musicians, including Xander Vrienten and Rory Ronde.

Whether producing or performing live music or spoken word, Eva's work always seems to emerge from a kind of natural creative surge. Everything comes from the same source: a mind that makes all that is not self-evident and vice versa.

Rory Ronde

Rory is a guitarist like no other. In 1998, he won the guitar competition at the Music Expo in Ahoy Rotterdam. The jury, led by Harry Sacksioni, praised his playing. Since then, he has played with Benny Sings, Giovanca, New Cool Collective and Roos Jonker and is the regular accompanist of Wouter Hamel. He releases his solo work under the name Kofi Anonymous.

Eva and Rory found each other a few years ago and have been playing together since the tour of Politiek & Liefde. Rory also regularly co-produces Eva's music. They both have a love for narrative music, producing and composing together for podcasts and theatre.
