Marcel is responsible for the portfolios Finance, HRM, IT, Real Estate and Communication&Marketing. Before that, he was member of the board of ROC Albeda for 6 years and member of the board of Inholland University of Applied Sciences for 7 years respectively.
After studying Public Administration (UT) and Change Management (VU Amsterdam), he worked at various firms as a management consultant in the field of strategy, organizational issues, finance and HR in various sectors, including municipalities, IT companies, banking and insurance and the central government. In addition to this work, he obtained his PhD on a business study at Tilburg University. After this he worked as a manager/director in service of the Ministries of Transport, Public Works and Water Management and OCW. During that time he followed the AMP course at Insead and the ABD candidate program.
