VU Griffioen, the cultural centre of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, offers a broad theatre programme with cabaret, theatre, music and dance, from established artists to emerging talent.
During the Dies celebration, Evelina Martinova's dance group will perform a combination of modern dance and classical ballet, focusing on complexity. Evelina studied dance in Latvia and the Netherlands, and works as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. For her, passion is as important as talent, and she believes that fun is the driving force for success. In her classes, she encourages her students to bring out the best in themselves, both in the dance studio and outside.
VU Griffioen also organises creative courses and workshops, and is the place for cultural exchange and artistic development.
