From molecules to human beings

From molecules to human beings

Disease and health, prevention and cure, are different sides of the same coin. By diagnosing illnesses before they make you sick, by developing better treatment methods, we can heal. By studying molecules, cells and organs, we learn how everything is interrelated. Scientists at VU Amsterdam are investigating processes and phenomena at the cellular level, deep within the human body. Their research will give us a better understanding of disease.

This research falls under the profile theme Human Health & Life Sciences.
The other themes are Science for Sustainability, Connected World and Governance for Society.
