Keri van Douwen is a PhD Candidate in public international law at the department of transnational legal studies. She holds an LL.M. (with honors) in Law and Politics of International Security (VU) and a BSc. (with honors) in philosophy, politics and economics. After graduating, she joined the evaluation department of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she focused on policies related to international cybersecurity and the international legal order.
Keri joined the VU as a junior lecturer (parttime) in 2020. In February 2022, she started her PhD research on customary international law and the UN's International Law Commission.
