PURE
The VU Amsterdam Research Portal is a powerful tool that can help you manage and showcase your research. The VU Amsterdam Research Portal offers an overview of all research recorded in PURE by VU Amsterdam researchers. For both academics and other interested parties, this information is quickly and easily accessible thanks to an advanced search function.
Persistent Identifiers
A PID is a durable reference to a digital dataset document, website or other object. It is a kind of ISBN for digital files. By using a PID, you ensure that your dataset will be findable long into the future. A DOI or Handle are the most commonly used PIDs. The data archiving options at VU Amsterdam also offer different kinds of PIDs. For further information see: What identifier do I need?
Most data archives or repositories offer a PID and generate this automatically when research data are archived. For example, this is the case for DataverseNL at VU Amsterdam. In Yoda at VU Amsterdam, assigning a PID is possible, but it does not happen automatically. Please get in touch with the RDM Support Desk if you have questions about being assigned a PID when you archive data in Yoda.
