Checklist for Grant Laureates
First check.
Step 1: Contact Project Control.
Contact your faculty's project control team as soon as possible after confirmation of award (preferably during the preparation phase!). Project control needs access to online project management portals, such as ISAAC, the Funding and Tenders Portal, ERA Commons or JE-s, so don't forget to give your project controller a role in the project.
Second check.
Step 2: Contact your Faculty and/or Department.
Grants provide funding for the research you want to conduct, but often there are additional costs involved. In some instances, these costs can add up considerably. It is therefore vitally important that you contact your faculty or department to inform them that you have received a grant.
Third check.
Step 3: Check any contracts with Legal Affairs.
An agreement or perhaps several (for example, a Grant Agreement as well as a Consortium Agreement, but perhaps also a Material Transfer Agreement or an NDA) will need to be reviewed by our legal advisors from Institutional and Legal Affairs before it can be signed by the Director of Operations. Please contact Legal Affairs as soon as possible. The earlier you do so, the more they can do for you.
Legal Affairs have several templates for contracts available and can also help with other legal matters like tax, privacy and intellectual property.
Other checks.
Other guidelines you may need to follow.
After the financial and legal paperwork have been taken care of, additional paperwork needs to be provided. Moreover, you may have encountered a problem with one of the online project management portals. If this is the case, then please contact the grants compliance officer.
For any other support you might need, such as ethical, privacy or research data responsibilities, please check the available information and support in the Research & Impact Support Portal (Check your responsibilities).
