The scientific output generated in psychology has surged in recent decades, including the number of studies investigating mental health treatments. To keep track of all this evidence, we developed the “Metapsy” meta-analytic research domain (MARD): a comprehensive system of open databases and tailored software that allows for rapid evidence generation.
Living evidence databases included in Metapsy are compiled and maintained by highly experienced research groups from 25+ international universities and research institutes. All databases are regularly updated and released to the public following the FAIR standards. Using tailor-made online meta-analysis apps, statistical software packages, and application programming interfaces, we make data from our entire research field accessible and reusable to various stakeholders, from (meta-)researchers, biostatisticians, clinicians, to patients and the general public.
Metapsy is based on the research line of Prof. em. Pim Cuijpers, whose meta-analytic work on psychological interventions for depression and other mental disorders at VU Amsterdam has led to more than 1100 peer-reviewed publications.
