You have done years of research at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and of course you want to share the results of your PhD research with the outside world. In order to draw attention to the content of your PhD defence, we kindly request you to fill in the digital form: www.vu.nl/promoveren after you confirmed the date of your defence with the beadle. The Faculty of Medicine is not included here because communications fall under the remit of Amsterdam UMC.
We send out the digital Science Newsletter every two weeks, in which we bring all PhD defences to the attention of the media. In order to do this as well as possible, we would like to receive the answers to the four questions in the form and the contact details where we can reach you. We will never pass this on without your permission.
With the information you provide, we will draw up a summary in consultation with you, which will appear in the newsletter. This means that more than 700 newspapers, television, radio, relevant organizations and professional magazines are aware of your promotion. In addition, we will also place the summary in the agenda on the VU website.
