Silence in the working group room or lecture hall can feel uncomfortable, but it can also be a powerful teaching tool.
Students are not always disengaged when they are quiet: often they are still thinking, listening or forming their thoughts. This tip shows how to use silence deliberately as space for reflection, processing and more considered contributions.
