On Thursday, 27 August, we welcomed a new cohort of the Digital Business & Innovation Master program.
At DBI, we are proud to welcome our largest cohorts in a while, a clear sign of the programme's strong relevance in today's world. This year's cohort welcomed over 140 new students for an inspiring start of the academic year, with over 38% holding an international degree, 81% coming from a background in business and management, and more than 16 languages spoken among them, all united by a passion for digital innovation.
The introduction day for the Master's program in Digital Business and Innovation (DBI) opened with a welcome and an overview of the program, giving students a first look at what lies ahead, from the program structure and teaching team to opportunities to get involved and contribute to university life. Students then had the chance to get to know each other through the Marshmallow Challenge, sharing ideas and starting to form connections that will last throughout the year and often beyond.
We connect students and industry through several types of collaboration. In Master's thesis projects, partners propose research topics and provide case access or data, while KIN researchers supervise the process and ensure academic rigor. Through guest lectures, practitioners share practical insights directly with students. And through course-based case studies, organizations bring in real business challenges, often followed by pitching sessions where representatives review the proposed solutions. This way, students tackle relevant, real-world questions, and partners gain fresh insights and visibility among future talent.
