In line with VU’s A Broader Mind vision, we invite VU teachers to submit proposals for innovative Community Service Learning (CSL) projects that strengthen students’ global citizenship skills. CSL connects academic learning to real societal challenges and is guided by the principles of reflection and reciprocity, encouraging meaningful interaction between students and community partners.
To support the development of new and inspiring initiatives, three CSL projects will each receive € 2.000 in funding. These projects should demonstrate how dialogue, collaboration, and community engagement can be embedded in education to create socially engaged and impactful learning experiences.
Applications should be no longer than one A4 and briefly describe;
- Your CSL innovation, including the faculty, programme, and course in which CSL will be implemented
- The impact you envision, for example on students, community partners, or society more broadly
- Explain how the € 2.000 budget will be used to realise your project
Applications can be submitted via email to CSL@vu.nl. The deadline is end of March.
We warmly encourage VU teachers to apply and contribute to education that is meaningful, socially connected, and truly aligned with A Broader Mind.
